cut off home phone/email/cable mid phone call!

We are moving in late February, so I thought I'd call Verizon to give them a heads up and schedule the disconnect. After taking 20 minutes and a million prompts,I finally speak to a human. Unfortunately, it was a human idiot. He's reading back the disconnect order to me,and the phone goes dead. And the house cable and internet goes out. Turns out the moron, with the click of a button, closed out my ENTIRE home account with the click of a button. Can they turn it back on that easily? OF COURSE NOT. We had to spend hours on the phone with the idiots opening a completely new account, and they now are trying to charge us a connection fee when THEY WERE THE IDIOTS WHO DISCONNECTED US. Been trying to speak to a supervisor for 4 weeks..... do they even have supervisors? Can't wait to move and never use this company again.
