I am a 911 system administrator

I maintain 12 counties 911 sites with my VOIP system. I have 2 host sites that tie into the remotes. The remotes are connected by Verizons DS1 circuits and CISCO 1841 routers. Guess how often these sites go down... once a week. That's right, once a week I have at least 2 911 sites down that can not take calls because Verizon is having problems with their circuits. Than when you have to get a hold of someone it takes 5 different numbers to finally reach the right person that can look into the situation. This has been an ongoing problem for two years, we have had multiple meetings with Verizon network engineers and representatives and it never changes, it is the same bs every time, "we can't believe that is happening" yeah what ever.

Verizon is a joke.

You know what's a joke?

You're a sysadmin...and you've been having these problems for TWO FUCKING YEARS...

...but still have no made a SWITCH to another company.

Stupid consumers get what they deserve. Congratulations, "sysadmin". You're one of them.

No sysadmin worth his weight would put such an important element at risk for TWO YEARS and do nothing more than complain about it on some no-name website.
