enough already.

this site is ridiculous. Take a look at some at&t, sprint, or any other cell phone company hate site. You will see the same exact issues/complaints with those sites too. People make mistakes and systems have errors. It's not verizon's fault you went over your minutes or didn't read a contract when you signed it. Complaints about reps? I'm sure getting paid 8 dollars an hour to get called horrible names for hours because you can't get credited back in full for something that's your own fault is just terrible. I'm sure they agree about the stuff that is truly unfair, but they are just trying to make a living and feed their kids like everyone else, so why make it worse for them? And recording calls to take to court? Are you serious? If it's even near that point, why are you still with verizon? If I felt the need to record my calls with a company I would see it well worth it to pay an early termination fee and switch companies. You people are getting way too worked up and wasting too much time. Get a life.

I realize that every company has it's problems and haters. And most people realize there is only so much an 8$ an hour rep can do.

What most people hate is if they are lied to, manipulated or pressured into something. On a Verizon Wireless sales floor this crap seems to the norm. There are good reps out but there definately bad ones.

As far as making a living etc, most out there are trying to find away to pay their bills so there is nothing sacrosanct or special about what a Verizon employee is trying to do.

And just suck up a cancellation fee??? How about getting a paid service or product working like it's supposed to first then eat a cancellation fee.

That thing you suggested getting? Take that advice and some classes/training to better yourself

did YOU READ the contract before signing it or did you foolishly rely on the ORAL summary of a store rep?

The fine print says verizon may replace the item with a "new, used, or refurbished" item at "verizon's SOLE discretion". They also have the option to try to "fix" your handset.

Thought you were getting a new phone? clearly you either didn't READ the contract or you did NOT UNDERSTAND it.


(1) NEVER try to "solve" anything with verizon by chat or phone.

(2) ALWAYS communicate with verizon with a typed, paper letter. Should they call back to discuss inform them you will only communicate by written letter and hang up.

Otherwise you'll get the by the book line "Agent YZ was not authorized to _____" and insert whatever deal/arranged made.

When you finally are tired of being burned take you stack of PAPER communication to small claims court. When verizon rep fails to show you win by default.

After any non-written interaction with verizon you should generate a typed paper letter summary of the interaction, what was promised by whom, and whatnot, giving them the opportunity to correct their position or not.

Too much abuse file a "formal complaint" with your [insert state here] public utility commission.

.... just say HELL NO to a new install as moca. DEMAND ethernet from the ONT or send them away.
