too much to tell...but how to I get a copy of my CSR

I've been getting yanked about for 4 months by Verizon. They tried pushing me into changing my basic copper land line to Fios, when I decided I would prefer just to keep the basic old service i had, they closed out the account (a number the house has had since the late 60's and which everyone knows.) There was no "This number is temporarily disconnected" or any diconnected notice at all to callers. The line just rang endlessly...with no dialtone or service on the recieving side. This has gone on through the holidays with elderly relatives panicking when unable to get through.
I have spent many many days and hours sitting at the customer service phones in a Verizon store talking to numberous "customer service" people. One higher level supervisor did admit they are actually just sales people and that is there job, not customer service or satisfaction. After endless, changing "stories" and lies I finaly got someone to get the phone reconnected with the original phone # of the past 50 years. Well, the date passed and no service. After another 6 hours on the line with "Customer Service" I had a dial tone and phone service today...Whooo whooo only problem...not the original number they promised. I have been lied to over and over, stories changed, work orders deleted it's pitiful. I live in a state where the Attorney General has hundreds of cases against Verizon for slamming and forcing people to take Fios. I plan to add to that number. But I need to make sure I get all the transcripts to the interactions i've had with Customer Service over the past 4 months.
Anyone have experience getting these files?
IS there a specific way I should request them?

I know if I ask the Verizon "Customer Service" peoiple I will be mis]directed and lied to.

You would think you would've been grandfathered in. They want you off of copper in more ways than one. The more copper they can get rid of the more old ma bell techs they can get rid of.

I would see about getting that old number hooked back up anyway possible and then take that same number to CLEC or competing local exhange carrier. I know people who took their life time decades old number over to Comcast on a combo package.

(1) NEVER try to "solve" anything with verizon by chat or phone.

(2) ALWAYS communicate with verizon with a typed, paper letter. Should they call back to discuss inform them you will only communicate by written letter and hang up.

Otherwise you'll get the by the book line "Agent YZ was not authorized to _____" and insert whatever deal/arranged made.

When you finally are tired of being burned take you stack of PAPER communication to small claims court. When verizon rep fails to show you win by default.

I just short sold a home and was moving less than two miles away to a likeable neighborhood. I had dsl and asked to transfer my dsl line.
They couldn't do it because the house I was miving into had "old phone lines' and couldn't be used for dsl and now I "Had" to sign up for FIOS...oh really I asked?
My rate was to go from $26.99 to $54.99 and they called this "comparable service"!
I just had to say no and terminate my service.
What a big mistake...as they charged me a termination fee of $70 because I "broke" my contract as they say.
My "contract" as I see it was implied from the very beginning anyway and I did not sign anything other than to agree to have a dsl line added to my phone line and in doing so, I entered into this so called contract!
So, I've argued with them, my wife has till she's tired of dealing with their stupidity and I've written them, all to no avail.
Jump ahead a few months to today and walah.. I now get a collection agency letter in the mail for the $70...thanks Veriza-pathetic!
This is how they treat customers of over 2o years. I wish I could be so bold!
Beware and avoid Verizon!

Oh, one more thing...Verizon will never have the balls to respond to letter sent by a customer.
i sent them a letter contesting a termination fee and all I got was a brief sheet of paper stating that I should call them to discuss my termination fee.
When we called, we were informed that their decision was to stand by their termination fee and just a few days later I get a bill from a collections agency wanting the $70.
How does a company like this resolve to stay in business?
hey, if any Verizon employee happens to be reading these colums, my hope is that someday soon you ALL might be out of a job!
