Bundle of Crap

I was a 18 year customer of Verizons home phone, internet, and I tried to add direct tv. Unfortunatley my trees were too much for Direct tv so I just kept the basic phone and internet service so I thought. Turns out Verizon charged me for a bundle package that I never got. I had phone and internet already but then a separate bill appeared. I called to question what this extra 60 per month bill was for and was told that the internet and phone service were no longer being billed together. OK? Then I relaized that my once 17 dollar basic phone plan had turned into 69.00 per month plus an additional 40 per month for internet. So I called customer service and questioned why my bill had gone up 4 times the amount it was before for the same service. I was told that I accepted the bundle package and that I had to pay the new amounts. I cancelled my service with them that day. Now Im being forced to pay a early termination fee of 150. dollars for cancelling the bundle package that I never got. Im in month 3 of trying to reach a human that can help me at Verizon. The humans I do talk to send me to another department. I emailed. wrote hard letters, and left plenty of voice mails to deaf ears. I have lots of recorded minutes of me talking to there customer service and it clearly defines the horrible ordeal I am going through. Some of it quite ridiculous.

(1) NEVER try to "solve" anything with verizon by chat or phone.

(2) ALWAYS communicate with verizon with a typed, paper letter. Should they call back to discuss inform them you will only communicate by written letter and hang up.

Otherwise you'll get the by the book line "Agent YZ was not authorized to _____" and insert whatever deal/arranged made.

When you finally are tired of being burned take you stack of PAPER communication to small claims court. When verizon rep fails to show you win by default.

Too much abuse file a "formal complaint" with your [insert state here] public utility commission.
