Worst customer service I have ever experienced.

This is not my first negative experience with Verizon, just the latest. I am moving my service to a new address, so Of course I had to call to schedule this. I got a voice mail telling me that it was "very important" that I call and confirm my appointment at 855-802-4866 and gave me a confirmation number. I called the above number, and got a recorded voice telling me that I will receive a one hundred dollar gift card for only $1.99, so be sure to have my credit card ready, and press one. I am not interested in giving my credit card information to Verizon, so I tried pressing a different number. No deal. I called again at random intervals for several hours, and all I would get was a busy signal. I even tried different phones, eventually all I got was a busy signal. The next morning I called again, pressed one, and was connected to a sales rep. I told him I wasn't interested in the gift card, and I just wanted to confirm an appointment. He told me to call 555-1212 and that would connect me to the right department. Everyone knows that is the number for directory assistance, so he just gave me a number to get rid of me. So I haven't been able to confirm my appointment for set up, and now I am supposed to wait around from 8:00 to 12:00 waiting to see if anyone from Verizon shows up to install my internet service.
