No, fuck the soldiers.

I'm currently deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. Before I left, I got married to the woman I've been with for 4 years. I had her account attached to mine, with me as the account holder. I'd been telling Verizon to set up my account for automatic withdraw, to make it easier on myself. This had been going on for 6 months. When I had her transferred to my account, I told the representative I was talking with (face to face I might add) to put it as automatic withdraw and to make her a registered user on my account because I was deploying. I showed him my orders and everything. Well, here I am in Afghanistan 2 months later being told her account is going to be suspended for non payment because I haven't been paying. She tried to pay, but they didn't authorize her, and I can't log in to the website to pay myself, because they have to send the password to the account owner's phone via text. Seriously, WTF!?!?

Yeah I had a situation with a person going to serve. He had left sometime in 2010 thinking his services were put on what we call a vacation suspension. This wasn't done and the funds were still withdrawn automatically from his bank account. Around 9 months later he came back and called and got through to me. Having discussed this with a supervisor(and by supervisor I mean someone whos never taken calls, another day another story) we went ahead and credited the overcharges. Well of course giving someone owed money without some legal battle is wrong so a 3rd party came in and negated the credits. Not a one of us likes explaining that to a customer. I fought this with that supervisor. I don't know what ever came of it.
