Verizon customer Service is the Worst

My landline has been out of service for the better part of August of 2011. I called them several times and got a service number. I tried all of their little suggestions but they did not work. We know the line is bad outside and we need a human service person to repair it. I pay $8.00 a month for wire maintenance. Earlier this week, Verizon called me and said that that a service person would arrive on Saturday, August 20 between 8:00 a.m. to noon. I called Verizon to confirm they were coming and I was put on hold for over 20 minutes. Then I called Billing and that person said that she could not reach the Support person. Verizon did not show up at my house on that day. I am on the Triple Fios Plan and I want to get off of it. They're always quick to send you bills but they are terrible when it comes to customer service.

now that the strike is over and the managers arent taking your calls and doing repairs.. the union workers should get the work done in no time...hopefully.. i imagine there is a lot of back and trouble to fix though

If they do not repair the problem soon I would report them to your state utility regulators.

If you are really unhappy with the service I would see what the cancellation fee is, eat it and switch providers. Heck some companies will pay things like cancellation fees if you switch to them.
