internet down several times a day !!!

I live in Kingston, Pa. and pay for 3 MBPS.
I check 2wire speed test on line often and rarely get 1 Mbps
and have complained continuously to the company until they sent over a Verizon worker.
He finished and did a check which was 1.8 MBPS and said that this is normal.
So I said: "if you ordered 3 sandwiches and I only gave you 1 or 2 would you pay for it ?"
(He laughed and agreed)
He left and the "new" modem they gave me after pleading with them for months, shuts off all the time and I have to wait 3-4 minutes to restart it and I never get more than 2 Mbps.
I have plenty of pictures showing that I get half of 1 mbps or less......this is an every day occurrence.
They did give me 3 months for free when I went to cancel, but it's still not worth it when you just got a brand new power horse computer and its so slow that you can't do any work because of interruptions from the modem shutting down.

we pay for 1 mbps($50+ and this includes a landline that is never used)...never ever get more than .4 mbps and many times it is under .12 mbps...and those are decimal points.

and we are stupid enough to still have verizon wireless...but we are no longer on contract and the whole 8 yrs we have had a contract with them there has been $20 worth of taxes and fees added onto a $69.00 bill sucks. we will be switching to something pay per month soon...

i can not even describe the depths of my hate when i get transferred around the world to india, to fix a problem with a piece of equipment in my own home.

and they aren't even paying their employees well with all the cash they make?!!

i hope they crash and burn.

Give them your evidence of speed in a formal letter probably go through the motions letter demanding credit, reduceds rates and/or repairs on your current line.

If no response tell them you will take your documented situation to the state utility regulators and FCC. And the FTC & BBB since Verizon isn't holding up their end of the CONTRACT.

Verizon and the other bell babies have neglected their copper plant for decades. Verizon and their employees sole goal since divestiture was/is to make it to retirement. The attitude of a monopoly, the internal politics of union-management and plain old corporate greed and ignorance have made superior and efficient service a failure at Verizon.
