Door to Door verizon???

Hello! Has any one opened up service with
Verizon by signning up with the reps who go door to door?

We recently did :/ two guys came to our door and said fios was getting installed in our area. And the had a special for us.
15/5 mbps for $35
No installation fee
No router fee
No contract

$35 a month plus tax -not a penny more not a penny less-

We signed the receipt and two weeks later got a confirmation on the mail, two weeks after that a tech came in to install the service. 9 days after that the first bill comes and it says

Current ballance $115

Fios internet 15/5 $54.99
Pc configuration for Fios $54.99
Fios internet 15/5 (added) $5.00

:0 I was shocked but figured it was a mistake

Called and the CSR said she never herd of that price, then said the door to door ppl offer a diff price specials and such that she has no access to.so she needed to shearch for them.
I gave her the promo code on the receipt/contract (whatever it is) and she still was "searching"

Then she said ok that is not possible 54.99 is the price for 15/5 speed I can slow u down to 3/1 for that price but nothin else can I do. I said I want what I signed up for. She said sorry it cant be done.

I just about cried.... I cant believe they.are.doing this to people...it makes no sense.

Have any of you gone thru this? What did yoh do?


I am soo confused...i do not know what to do. Please help me. I want to service but I ca not afford that.price right now. I signed up because 35 is within my budget....

This is soo completely mean and unfair :(

You can't believe how many times I have heard this story. And so far, everyone I know that has had this problem has simply had to pay the price or drop the service.

Yesterday my husband got a voicemail from the president...it was a recording. He says he wants everyone to be happy and to call the 1877 # if we have any concerns..... Grrrr!!! He is calling tommorrow to see what theyll have to say.

This is beyond ridiculous....im still in shock.
