Trying to Switch Person On Account is Tantamount to An Act of Congress

For 4th time I have had to call Verizon to switch my mothers service to her name after my father passed away. First time was great with person on the phone, but I needed more information and could not resolve the issue. Second time I ran into an incompetent person who gave me the run around and this was after I got my mom on the phone to accept the name change and charges. He explained the account had to be closed and reopened in her name. The process is ridiculous and calling to get someone on the line is like encountering 15 traffic signs to make a right turn. All I can say is bad and bad service.

While at VZ / GTE I was included in a bizarre service order. It was a name change from Will to Hanna. Except it was the same person, just a little clipping at the doctors office. Back then it only took two letters and the change was made without screaming and a 1 hr long call.
