verizon = monopoly

My wife and I have had so many negative experiences with this company. Unfortunately there are not many choices for wireless service in are upstate ny area. We are tired of paying for our bill when our internet service does not work on our phones (even though they said they fixed it). We take care of our end of the contract we signed with Verizon, why can't they. Then they can't even replace the phone with a new one, it has to be a refurbished phone. Why should we have to take used phones when the problem we're experiencing is Verizon's fault. I can't tell you how many times I/we have been spoken to by a rude verizon employee, or placed on rediculously long holds, or even hung up on. There is absolutley no such thing as customer service with this company!!!

My "not-so-technical" mother went into the store with intentions of increasing her minutes, but was talked into getting the home phone. The employee told her it would only cost her so much to purchase the phone, so she agreed and signed the contract. However when she went to pay for it, the bill was over a hundred dollars more than what she was told. She then told them she did't want the phone because of the money difference. They then had the gall to try and charge her a restocking fee of I believe $30. SHE NEVER EVEN LEFT THE STORE WITH THE PHONE!!! UNBELIEVABLE!
