Prouct that never worked can't be refunded

I purchased a 4G USB modem from Verizon. At first I couldn't activate it. After a call to customer service I was still nowhere. After investing my time in playing with it, I got it activated. Once I got it activated, I spent the next two weeks trying to get the thing to work--which it never did. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with their technical people on one day, 40 minutes the next. When I explained that, as a professional, my time bills out at a high rate that I woukd never recoup, that the investment of my time already exceeded any benefit I would get back, and I would just like to return the product and get a refund. I was told they would not refund my monet because it was after the 14 day period in which returns are accepted. The product was ORDERED (not received) on Nov. 1, took multiple days to ACTIVATE, and NEVER worked properly. I spoke to customer service on the 17th, and asked for my refund on the 18th. I am flabergasted and appalled that acompany would do business this way.

This happened to me..The upside is that my buddy cance;ed his verizon plan and went to ATT who had better plans at cheaper rates.
