middle of the billing cycle

so my husband and I recently decided to join our phone accounts and start paying a family plan rate, little did we know it would end up costing a small fortune. We added the new plan to our account without any trouble. So the first bill came and to my suprise it was $504.00! I was outraged. I immediately called verizon and demanded an explanation and a fix. The service rep dicovered that we were being charged for a family plan, my old plan and my husbands old plan all to one account. The rep at the store didn't delete the other plans, just decided to add a family plan on top. I demanded it to be fixed and our account refunded. The service rep said "no problem, just pay what you would normally owe which is $120 and I will have the rest credited". So here we are a month later checking our bills and much to my suprise....We still owe $404.60. I picked up the phone again and called demanding to know why this hadn't been fixed. The rep this time tells me that i was charged for my husbands old plan plus the family plan because we had changed the plans in the middle of the billing cycle. All that could be credited was the $30 some odd dollars that were from the previous plan. So here we now sit with no solution to our problem but to be raped by verizon and forced to pay $300 bucks.... BS@!@@!
