Fios tech

This company sucks.Where can one go to work and be abused daily by their employer!You try to do a good job but it is never enough.Discipline,discipline,discipline,this is how Verizon manages their employees.QAR interviews,work rules enforcement,constant questioning regarding your days events by people who have no clue how to do the job!!!Thanks for the offer to retire ASSHOLES!!

So they're using the work rules, procedures and policies for power & discipline rather than a good job, quality, safety and/or customer satisfaction?

Hey Vz manager. You must be one of those college snots that still needs mommy to wipe your nose. I bet you were still in diapers when I started working for the company BEFORE it was Verizon. That's when the managers came up through the ranks and knew how to do the job. When the techs respected them because they knew what they were talking about. I saw your type when I was working there. Clueless, power hungry, back stabbing jerks that would suspend techs just to make a name for themselves so they can move up.

Most of you dimwits need help turning on a lamp. I bet you don't even know the color code!!!!!

This is a common ploy in the post monopoly cry baby bell called Verizon-force you to quit. In the mean time these games waste everyones time eventually affecting the quality of service let alone the workplace. The fiber network and service will wind up suffering the same fate as copper. And the company they sell it to will wind up with similar problems to those companies that inherit that network.

As much as they want people on fiber that also would like just as many on the wireless network only. This is the next phase of induced firings and resignations for the employees. Soon the customers will be 'incentives' to go wireless only.

m-a-n-a-g-e-r-s?? Can you spell R-I-F ?? Oh, and in case you don't know what RIF stands for.....

bottom line is the union will be busted and you will all have to decide whether to cross the line or lose a job....and i know,at least 10 guys and gals have said they would cross the picket lineif the strike lasted 2 or maore weeks again

There are alot of problems that a union mentality can bring to the job. It can breed the same arrogance that being a monopoly brought to management.

If anyone in management thinks no union will benefit them they are crazy. If the techs get lower pay does management really think their pay will stay the same or not be lowered when they jigger their job responsibilities and job title? Plus fewer employees equals fewer managers needed to supervise.

Both union and management would be advised to get a second skill or enhance their telecom resume because when the company decides to abandon landline period and not just copper everyone will be looking for jobs in the non union & non corporate bureaucracy with no ladders to climb-pun intended.
