Verizon is exceptionally horrible

I don't know where to start. I hate Verizon so much that I googled "I Hate Verizon."

That should be enough right there. The fact that it pre-populates at #3 with only "I Hate V..." is further testiment.

I just called because my DVR wasn't working. Put in my phone and zip code. Listened to crappy hold music for 10 minutes. The got a rep. "Thanks for calling Verizon, may I have the 10 digit phone number associated with the account?" (1-I put it in already. 2-No how may I help or anything first.) Then I give her the number..."Sorry, Can you spell the name on the account, first and last." Anyway, we go back and forth. Oh, our system is down. We'll have to manually trouble shoot. You need to unplug your box and unscrew the coax cable. - Really?!? Are you f-ing kidding me?!? That's all they ever say, unplug the box, the coax cable, and the router. I said, when is my contract up? She didn't know, that another 10 minute wait and frustrating account look up away. I hung up and came here to vent.

Anyhow, that's just the most recent example. This is their normal cycle. 10minutes is nothing. I once spent 3 HOURS!!!!!! The rep told me it would be the water cooler talk all week. I broke a record. Oh, joy. It is normally a degrading and frustrating hour. That's typical for any problem. The bill is wrong often. The sales reps are horrible. They don't give a crap about what your asking, jus trying to upgrade your account and get you off the phone. No empathy at all. Their website is annoying as knats. All of their technology is blatenly directed at forcing you to upgrade your account and buy more of their products. It's hard to do what you need and navigate through their ads. They make it so hard to oppose them that only the strong willed will even try. Most I'm sure give up. They design it that way. Well, that's it for now. Can't wait to switch. It will be a pain to find new internet and TV, but not harder than staying. only 45 days left.

I agree with yoiu 100%. I did the same - I googled the same to search for people with similar horror stories to tell and found this site.
