This is ridiculous

New client - had the phone and basic service for less than 6 days.Decided it wasn't for me.Person heling me said she would waive the "activation fee" and I wouldn't be charged except for the time I used it - resasonable...and the "restocking fee"...okay. I don't text and hardly make any calls.I got a 2 bills in the mail 5 days later one for 274.00 and the other 54.00.
WTF? I can understand paying $30 plus restocking but $300+. This can't be right. I was never told any of this. In fact I confirmed that I would onnly be charged for use plus taxes of course. She even rattled off an amount that I should expect on my first bill. To say the least I am beside myself and fell totally taken advantage of...and it makes me sick to my stomach that this company can so this. Everything...a checklist as it were, should be completed so the consumer knows exactly what is involved. I guess I assumed way too much and expected the salesperson to do that part. Wow, what an eye opener. I don't even know what to do with all this. Any suggestions?

Like you, we are ALL FRUSTRATED with Verizon. That's why we are here. I've fought them since July 2011 and the battle continues. Best suggestion I can give you is don't give up. Fight them to the end!
My donation to the cause is to create another website similar to this one so that the word can be spread FAR AND WIDE as much as possible. If I can help save ONE person from falling into their trap, it will all be worthwhile.

You are not very smart. Read your bill. the first one was printed before you disconnected. The second one is your final bill you dipstick. You dont owe over $300. You owe $54

YOU are not smart nor are you polite...hmmmm...you must work for VERIZON! The 2 bills she received are more than likely for early termination (they like to take a leg as a fee) AND a charge for service. So let her vent and be upset because yes, they probably did lie to her on the phone and tell her the only charge she would get would be those few days of service and an a "restocking fee" when in fact they ALSO charge additional fees for early termination that could be $274.

Frustrated: keep calling them until you get someone who will fix it. Only every 9 out of 10 reps are dicks...maybe you will get lucky and get the 1 nice one:) Keep fighting!
