Fuck Verizon... Fuck them up their stupid asses

Signed up for high speed internet. I told the rep that I didn't want to be hit with surprise charges so 'tell me everything I'll be charged monthly'. She assured me it would be $47/mo but the first bill would be higher due to the activation fee and modem charges - fine, no problem. But after those fees were charged, I noticed I was being charged $57/mo. I don't receive a paper bill because everything is done online (and even stupider, Verizon sends all their notices to their stupid verizon.net email account they set up for you - does anyone USE that stupid shit?). Anyway, I was too busy with school and work to contact them (my fault, I know) until a year later, when I finally logged into my Verizon account for a different problem. That's when I noticed they had been billing me for a Security bundle I had NEVER asked for. Someone had just tacked it onto my account - it was NEVER EVEN ACTIVATED. Seems like a simple fix, right? I called Verizon to request a refund for all those months they had overcharged me for the unactivated bundle. They told me they could only refund 8 months because "that's as far back as their records go". WTF? My internet company's records only go back 8 months? I told them I have bank statements showing I've been getting overcharged since I opened the account, PLUS the security bundle had never been activated. They told me there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO.
I realize this is partially my fault for not staying on top of my account when I first noticed the bill was higher that I was expecting, but seriously, I laid out the facts for them and it should have been common sense.
What further sucks is that Verizon is the only provider for my particular area. I have to stay with them if I want internet.
Bottom line is, stay on top of your shit, because some dumb fuck customer service rep will throw some bullshit on your account that you don't ask for (the kind of bundle where they say the first month is free, then if you no longer want it, you need to sign in to deactivate it).
I will never recommend Verizon to anyone and I jump at the chance to talk shit about them because based on this experience, I have determined they are retarded. They hire customer service reps who don't know how to use their brains and they honestly don't give a fuck about their customers.

Maybe not retarded, but sure as hell crooked. They pull this crap constantly on so many people. All we can do is hope that a bunch of their executives wind up in a really nasty federal institution. Then we'll see who gets screwed.

i told them that i did not ask 4 this, the landlord order fios 4 himself , and chang my line 4 something i did not ass for.
