Veriozn Fios - Bait & Switch

My building went to Verizon FIOS. I stupidly decided to sign up. The technician was at my apt for about 7 hours (had to take the day off work)...When he left the phone still had not been carried over. This was Friday, said it would be done by Sunday. Spent 4 hours on the phone on Sunday....still not resolved. Noticed that they did not install the DVR box I was promised. Instead installed an old no longer in existence refurbished model. When I called to get the newer model I was promised, was told I had to order it online and pay for it and install it myself. WTF???

Well today is Monday. Still waiting to resolve the phone issue.

Get supervisor and give them one last chance to correct. Make sure you get credit for the time not working and/or get what you ordered.

If not progress report Verizon to the local Better Business Beauru to document their incompetence & shaky practices. Then report Verizon to the state utility regulators and the FCC telling them what they promised and what they delivered.

Note that all day for a FIOS install seems the norm around here as well. I don't know wether it's union techs, untrained installation and/or office techs, poor Verizon processes and/or over sold ahead of time FIOS contracts/deals.
