Verizon billing hell

I changed my triple play to just internet and since then I have been playing phone bouncing game between Verizon's billing department and payment services department neither of them being able to help and call center staff hanging up on me repeatedly. The problem is that the online payment system shows one amount and when I try to pay it changes to a different amount and will not let me pay the correct amount. And customer service representatives are equally confused - with some of them being helpful (but unable to help anyway because of the bureaucratic nightmare that verizon's systems are) and ultimately unable to help.

I am so frustrated it is unbelievable
