How does verizon suck? Let me count thine ways....

From my first order for DSL (yes, I am limited right now) and asking for a modem then getting only filters. Then calling to ask where my modem is since this is a bit necessary when you want to connect, being asked if I wanted wireless router included. I told them I enjoy my current wireless setup and asked only for a modem. Wham! 2 days later and I get a modem/wireless router combo. My "service active" date was the 14th. On the 14th a technician arrived to be told to install a new jack since the one in my home is old, and being in IT for the last 12 years, that it was not going to hold up. Did the tech do this? Nope! He certified the line present in my home then went on his stupid, merry way. I had a decent connection for one day. What a nice day that was. This is the start of my adventure with the Verizarapists. The next day, I get a call from my son who says that the connection keeps dropping. Walked him through resetting the router. It works for ten minutes then drops you. Nice! So, for the next 2 days this is the case until I call and get escalated to "level 3". By the way, I have worked as a "level 3" tech for some time now so am not impressed with this moniker. I am told after a few tests that I have too much line noise and not to reset the router until I get a call. Which is when they would have completed their consistent 2 minute pings and loopback tests. Last Friday, I lost internet completely. Today, after going through the router setup again, I am back on but only at 200k speeds. My cell phone is faster than this on line. This is so dumb. I have called and have been promised a tech visit, where the tech never showed. I went to work this morning and got on a live chat with them and was told a tech would be at my home by 6 p.m. today. I called on the way home and was told that the service call was put on hold and that a foreman in the dispatch center would be calling me. No call as of yet. Even though I have internet right now, I am going to go with another provider VERY soon. Verizon sucks worse than any suck ever! And to think that I was offered an interview for their IT department but was turned down simply because I don't have an associates degree! Fuck you verizon! You got your college edumacated retards now. Enjoy them and your idiotic procedures until you go out of business. I will never do business with them again. EVER!
