| Seriously? A 14-day Return Policy? |
I bought the Home Phone Connect device to consolidate my land line to Verizon with my cell phone, all on one bill. Problem: It takes "10 business days" to port your regular home phone# to the device, which is basically the entire 14-day Return Period. So I didn't discover how bad the voice quality of the device is until too late! Now I can't return it; and when I called Customer Service they informed me I have to have another line to call from to Troubleshoot it while it's plugged into my land line. But I don't get any cell phone reception at my house (thanks again, Verizon) so basically I can't get any Troubleshooting help. They've just signed off on me, offering me only that I could forfeit the $175 Early Termination penalty. Wow, now that's some caring customer service. But, I worked as a Mobile Device Engineer and this little known trick just may help get you a better signal. Of course it doesn't help with their idiotic policies and traps. They will continue to suck ass until hopefully they go out of business. Sorry to hear your story. You are not alone. Anonymous - Verizon H8er ID: D394F7 | | 08/22/12 | 21:49PM | | Oh, almost forgot. Try *228 then option 1. Ooops. Anonymous - Verizon H8er ID: D394F7 | | 09/02/12 | 21:31PM | | Its actually option 2 to update your towers. Option 1 is activation. The only difference between HFC and a cell phone is you can't take the HFC anywhere you go. No wonder you had poor voice service. You deserve to pay the ETF for not doing your research!
