Did not show up and DID NOT CALL!

FIOS installation gave 8 to 5 window. Did not show up and DID NOT CALL! Their whatsnext website stated that I was 2nd customer to be served and gave an exact time tech would arrive 10am.
No tech showed and no call.
I cancelled FIOS based on this bad customer relations experience. In my many years of experience,no provider has ever provided this level of outrageous performance.

This is the norm. As a recent former employee I can honestly tell you that VERIZON over books customers all the time or due to their faulty ass new improved system the customers fios orders are not downloading to dispatch to get assigned for a tech to go out to the customers location. You would think a company like Verizon could afford a top of the line technical crew but they have obviously opted out for a mediocre one instead. Verizon is the only phone company that has "true fios" to the customers premises so they respond without urgency because they know theirs no fios competition. The dispatch department is suppose to notify any customer of a missed commitment and offer them a -$100 SPG credit. If you didn't get one then call back and complain because trust me you'll need it on your 1st bill/over charge.
