Misleading and Dishonest

Contacted Verizon because they put an 80.40$ charge on my account 1.5months after I cancelled their service. Turns out the fee is for an early termination of my account, which is legally allowed I guess. However the reason I terminated my account is because they sent me a notification that I was eligible for a new every 2 phone. This to me indicated my 2 years of service were up so I could go and either renew my contract or cancel it without any problems. Wrong. Turns out they send the notification 4 months before the end of your contract and the notification does not indicate anywhere that it was sent early before your contract is up. In fact they allow you to get a new phone and start a new contract 4 months before your old one is up, except if you want to cancel they slap on a ridiculous termination fee of 70$, and with taxes the fee is 80.40$. The company refuses to remove the charge from my account. Very very very unsatisfied.

Happy ending. I complained to the BBB and got a surprise call today saying they were going to refund my money back! Yay! Totally unexpected.
