Welcome me to the club

Why would I call directory assistance numerous times for phone numbers that I know I can get on the internetfor free? Having just noticed charges for directory assitance on this month's phone bill, I reviewed the charges for the past several months and found that I also had been charged for 4 other directory assistance calls that I never made. When I called Verizon to report this error, after 10 minutes in voicemail hell and several more on hold being reassured that my call was important, I spoke to a rep that assured me that the calls did indeed come from my home. No amount of my insistence that I did not make them, and that no one else lives there and could have made them could convince him otherwise, and it was suggested that perhaps a guest to my house had perpetrated these 5 calls without my knowledge. As this was the only possible explanation he would entertain, and as I know that he is wrong, I have no reason to believe that it won't occur again, and for that reason, as well as their refusal to credit my account, I told him that I will have to switch providers. He is "sorry you feel that way."
