EQUIPMENT

An entire month without any land line service which we had just started, received absolutely NO services just headaches. Cried for a month in frustration at trying to fix this and eventually went back to comcast. Had heart sugery during this time which was almost screwed up due to no phone (we were unaware that we had no service but after friends and family came by to inform us, the troubles began). Now we get a call at 8:10AM from a collection agency that we owe $107.00 for equipment. WHAT????? I honestly don't know what happened to it, maybe thrown out as trash (which is what I considered it at the time). The fact that I will have to pay for it after the nightmare we were put through galls me. Hopeless and helpless. Thank you for the opportunity to vent. Will NEVER try them for ANY of their services again.

Did you have DSL on copper or FIOS?

Did you recieve any missed payment notices?

If the service never worked not you should you recieve a credit but your bill should start until the day service was actually working. Other than inside billable connects or wiring you shouldn't be billed for the service itself until the day it's actually working.

I would write out a list with dates of phone calls, actual services performed or company contact. Also note any promised by dates. Turn it a brief but concise letter formally informing Verizon whats going-you could try phone calls first asking to speak to management, then mail corporate.

If no rapid response, replies or acknowledgement of letter mass mail that letter to the regulatory agencies explaining your problems with Verizon. That includes notifying the state utility regulators called something the public service commission or public utility commission. Then notify the FCC or Federal Communications Commission. Also notify the state Better Business Bureau since you did not get what you contracted for-service.

Good Luck
