DSL Hell

I tried signing up for DSL online, but the site won't work properly via a dial-up connection; it loads too slowly, and a crucial form field altogether won't reveal. So I thought I'd try the phone. Each "customer service" agent (ha!) told me that he or she could not offer me the deal shown on-line, but maybe someone at group X could. After getting bounced around through 4 groups -- waiting on hold a good 15 minutes for each, and each swearing only the next could help me sign up for DSL -- I got the answer that too many people had signed up for DSL WHILE I WAS FUCKNIG WAITING, and so DSL is no longer available to me. No help from anyone. No queue to list in. Just a nasal, "I'm sorry, sir, there's nothing we can do at this time."
