Look out if you overpay

Because of problems with my Verizon service, I negotiated a discount from them. Problem is, I had already paid my bill. This meant that I had overpaid them $9. I was told I'd get a check in 6-8 weeks. While I wasn't thrilled about that, I thought "at least I'll get my money back." Ha! It is now 4 months since the original dispute, and they haven't cut a check. When I call, I'm told that they put in a check request and that it will be another 6-8 weeks....When I ask for a supervisor, I'm denied that, too. So I decided to file with the Better Business Bureau. I called Verizon and asked the service rep to be sure to put a note in my record that I've filed a complain t with the BBB, so that maybe someone will actually do something about it.
