Ad Fraud

I own a mortgage company in the Saint Petersburg, Florida area. I walked into the local Verizon office to place a phone book Ad. All seemded well, until my business took a heavy loss and a few months before the Ad went to print I contacted Verizon to cancel the order.

They denied my efforts to cancel and are still requiring payment even though:

1. I never received my Ad proof with the guaranteed two (2) week period.

2. They did not put my phone number in the Ad.

3. They verified my Toll Free numbers were disconnected and my business was going to close.

4. My Account Rep was fired due to placing false orders.

5. I gave two full months warning before the Ad went to print.

6. I never signed the final Ad proof approval.

I also cancelled my website Ad back in January. This past April I received a Bill for January through April, and they are still billing me for something that was removed immediately from the web phone book listings when I originally canceled the order in January.

Verizon is looking for a lawsuit. And raping any and every business owner they can.
