Great reception, TERRIBLE SERVICE!

I switched from AT&T to Verizon in the fall of 2012.

I was thrilled with the quality of reception. I own a small business (approx 13 phones). In the western ct area, Verizon wins hands down.

The PROBLEM with service came about because they said I had over paid my bill....I pay my bills fairly quick, but I don't usually overpay. I called Verizon to ask where this extra money was coming from. They insisted it was me...I eventually gave up and said OK :-) I have a credit balance. I asked the rep to make a note on my account about everything we had discussed (because I knew this was going to come back and bite me somehow).

Now I had already mailed a check for another bill from a few days earlier. I put a stop payment on that check.

about 2-3 weeks later, I received an e-mail....they were going to turn off my phones :-) yippee. And now it begins...I call to straighten things out. The conversation is too long to write here, but basically the rep (very dry and bordering on nasty) says: "It's real simple, you cancelled your check, and owe us money" I ask her to check the notes from the previous rep who was arguing that I had paid TOO MUCH...no notes (according to this rep) Almost an hour on the phone and I finally end up giving my cc # to free my phones and keep business running. I get off the phone and immediately call another rep (nicer). She says "Oh,I see what's wrong. Someone is making cash payments at a Verizon store and putting in my account number (accidently I'm guessing). They puzzle is so bad, she send a spreadsheet show dates, cancelled check, mistery payments etc. She tells me not to worry. Because it was their mistake, she's set things up so they won't (can't?) turn my phones off. A week later, my phones are off. I don't notice becuase I'm running around and just think it's a slow day. I'm informed by an employee who meets up with me.

...this story is way too long to explain the rest, but at this point I filed a complaint or gave a bad review via phone prompts. A customer service rep calls and leaves a message for me to call back about my bad service experience. I've tried calling about four times...never answers, then I get a recording saying the mailbox is full...
