This Verizon complaint is hard to beat!

I converted my home telephone and internet service to Verizon FIOS on June 25, 2012. The promo price was good and came with a 30-day no-penalties trial. After two weeks of frustration with the service and bad customer support, I decided to go back to my original service with Cox Communications and made the necessary calls to both companies. Two days later, the Verizon sales rep who sold me on FIOS called and asked why I was canceling. I explained my dissatisfaction, he hung up and within two hours, my phone line was dead. Dozens of calls and 3 weeks without home phone service to reconnect the phone number we had for 18+ years. Verizon would not give me any tracking information or even call me with an update. No one at Verizon would give me their direct phone numbers and corporate customer service would not even answer my repeated calls. And when it finally was fixed, they had the nerve to bill for internet usage and threaten collections if I did not pay. Verizon impacted my home and my business and I never even got an apology let alone a refund. Of course, I get the usual "we want you back" mail every other week but I will never use anything from Verizon again.
