Customer No-Service

I'll try to be brief,

First I called only to ask if I change to prepaid can I keep my number and if so, how do I do it.
The stupid lady that took my call deleted my account and began to switch me to prepaid and when I realized what she was doing she lied and said she had not made any changes to my account but when I went to check voicemail it was all gone and said I had not set up my mailbox.
Then the kicker, after switching to prepaid I get a bill for a $185. early termination fee when I didn't even have a contract. It expired 2 years earlier and I was month to month.
And don't even get me started on the mindless phone menus that go in a loop and never get you anywhere.
I Loathe Verizon.
