Federal Employee Discount??

My wife reactivated a line after I was deployed to Afghanistan- despite providing Verizon a copy of my deployment orders, LES, ID card, and military email address AND military Power of Attorney (all acceptable proof of federal employment) their customer nonservice tells me "that wasn't for a discount, just to verify the power of attorney" - a complete dodge as a notarized power of attorney is a completely legal stand alone document. What does Verizon ask for in order to verify federal employment? Work email address and LES (pay stub).
Those greedy bitches have been overcharging by at least 20% for the life of the contract- well over $300. Also, now that my wife has broken her phone, not a chance of suspending any service- another $250 down for useless data service and phone despite asking for suspension of the service three months in a row. For anyone interested- by law (federal telecom act of 1996) Verizon must provide a discount to Federal employees- but the assholes pretend they've never heard of it and you must repeatedly demand it.
