Verizon Fraudulent Charge Back

I have Internet Service with Verizon. I paid my bill in the amount of $79.99 by credit card. It went through. However, a week later I got a message that my charge was declined by the Financial Institution. I checked with my credit card company. They said that they had not declined it. I sent my credit card statements to their financial department showing where I had paid for the charge and that it was not declined by the credit card company. Verizon said that they would look into it. They still have not removed the fraudulent charge. Every time I call them, I am on hold for at least an hour before I get to talk to a representative. Last response is they are going to talk to a supervisor. I have spent numerous hours trying to correct a mistake by that they made. Some of my friends have similar issues with Verizon. Verizon is engaging in these practices to wrongfully charge customers. They need to be stopped. They have monopoly in our area. There is no other Internet provider for our area. And they know it. Stay away from this evil company, if you can. I am thinking of taking them into small claims court.
