Not Like the Others

I just got the LG G2 and it's incredible! My best service option (unfortunately) is Verizon, so this was a bittersweet time. Upon opening the box for the phone that was shipped to me, I was instructed by a giant red card that my sim card was "PRE-INSTALLED!" Woooo! I proceeded to go through the activation instructions and lo and behold, it didn't activate. Customer service was just as they always are, useless (but can you really blame them? They're working on Christmas day), and walked me through "did you turn it off and on again" and "it could be our system being slow because everybody has new phones that they are activating." They shipped the phone with the wrong sim card in it! The real sim card was in a package in the box that was referenced absolutely nowhere. They shipped it with TWO sim cards! So that was all sorted out and I had noticed that the beautiful work that LG had put into this phone was tarnished by Verizon's shittiness. The back buttons (a shining feature of the G2) are designed to be, on all other versions of the phone, large and textured so they can be distinguished via touch. Not Verizon's version! No no no, these ones are small and barely distinguishable from each other using an index finger. Why? I have a theory that it's because the can sell their branded "SmartWindow" case for a price higher than the current bid for Jesus's golden underpants. It eliminates most of the "knock-off" competition and allows them to cheat customers in a way that makes me feel like I'm being punished for having to live with Verizon.
