Hang Up on me!! That's how Verizon deals with their customers.

So, I decided to call Verizon because I noticed a new fee that was being charged on my bill. This fee was titled "Regional Sports Network Fee". I looked back on previous bills and noticed that they started charging these fees on my February bill, so probably new fee beginning at the start of 2014 is what I figured. They charged me $6.61 on first bill and $3.48 on next several bills. The main reason that I wanted to call was so that they could explain to me what that fee was for because I am currently not receiving any "Regional" Sports games. I can't even watch a Dodger game and I live in LA. When I called and got ahold of a rep. she explained to me that the fee came from an association of sports networks that is now charging an additional fee to watch these channels. I should probably mention that I only have the Prime package and this includes ESPN, Fox Sports, Time Warner Cable, etc. I then went on to tell her how upset I was that I was being charged more money for sports channels and receiving less sports. I told her that I didn't think it was fair and that Verizon should do something about it. I asked her if she knew what was going on with the whole Time Warner dispute and she said she didn't know anything about it. I was very calm and spoke to her kindly but just felt like I needed to voice my concerns and let Verizon know that their customers are unhappy. Well after I got done talking to her I heard nothing but silence. I waited like 6 seconds and finally said, "Are you there?". She was like yes mam I was just checking on that date for you. So I said, "So you weren't listening to me?" She didn't have a response. I asked if there was someone she could transfer me to so that I could log a formal complaint with Verizon about this issue. She proceeded to put me on hold and then disconnected me. I guess that is how Verizon deals with complaints by just discarding us like trash. They don't want to hear what we have to say. They don't care about their customers in the least. All they care about is raping us every month with extremely high prices and we are supposed to just take it. This is not the first bad experience that I have had with Verizon but it will be my last. Goodbye Verizon.

you are correct in that no one should have hung up on you. If that rep gets caught they will be fired. However, the regional sports network fee is charged by all companies because now local sports channels are charging fees, if they have not already been doing it. As customers some of the cost is put on to us. In regards to the Los Angeles Dodgers, you can blame that all on Time Warner. The way they wanted to handle the deal would increase any customers billthat would have access to those games whether they watched them or not. For once Verizon made the right choice, along with lot of other companies, not to accept the deal so they didn't have to raise the price of everyone's bill in your area. Time Warner tried to do the same thing with the Lakers but then they decided to allow other TV providers to be able to buy into their scheme. Then they did the same thing with the Dodgers but made it harder for TV companies to buy and so they could provide the games. You can blame that on the Dodgers owners and time warner. Not Verizon or any other TV provider.
