Verizon lines dropped on 2 inches below ground.

I planted some flowers in my front yard last month and cut my neighbors Verizon cable line. The line was 2-3 inches below ground. I called corporate customer relations and all they could say was that I should have called before I dig. I know several people who have been billed by them for cutting their lines. Anyone else had this happen? I'm trying to decide between filing a complaint with the Tx Attorney General or trying to get a class action lawsuit going. I have a feeling thousands of people have been in my shoes and have had to pay for their lazy work.

It depends on the law in your state. Some require you to call before you dig. There is a centralized number you can find on line. I can definitely understand frustration when its your property. Go online and check. If its a Verizon issue you can contact the PUC for your state.
