Awful customer care

Verizon inadvertently shut off our internet and TV service. They could not just turn it back on. Instead after being a customer for years, they made us new customers. The service was supposed to be up the next day. Of course it was not. We called for days and literally spent hours on the phone with them. Of course every time, you have the joy of going through their automated phone system and resell the story to someone new. After several days, they said they would send someone out the following day. Nobody came. We colmplained and told them about how they lied. It turns they had refused to expedite the matter, even though it was their mistake. They are courteous on the phone but either inept, ignorant, or flat out liars. They are a company whose service is to be avoided if you can help it.
