Free Tablet - HA!

Order the FIOS triple play and "get a free tablet." Fat chance. I get FIOS and get coupon and they say you get free tablet if you order triple play AND get a wireless service with the tablet. Rep. at store even said, "Just so you know, you have to order wireless service to get tablet." Obvious that I was not the only one to be duped. Verizon knew this was happening and I consider this fraud. Going to report this, but probably won't do me any good. AVOID VERIZON.

It says no such thing on the small box ad that pops up when you do the FIOS renewal. In tiny almost illegible grayed out print, it says 'Two year agreement required." Since you are (in my case) signing up for a 2 year FIOS agreement, it is easy to think 'oh they are giving me a piece of cheap hardware instead of the old prepaid VISA'.
The ad was designed to confuse and mislead--if you have to pay anything--it is not "Free"
After many complaints they are now showing 'Activation fee required' in the store ads, but still not on the FIOS renewal page.

It is intentionally deceptive and misleading advertising--and if we had a real choice I would cancel tomorrow.

The person that responded to your comment is correct. When you go online the info is there about the requirements for the tablet. If you call in they will also tell you, its in the terms of service, and on the confirmation emails you get. If Verizon does one thing right it is hire the best legal team. You can't report them to anyone. Whether you like it or not, its on you to do your homework. Good luck.
