Locked in without a phone.

This week my Motorola HD Maxx's charge port expired. It had been getting loose for some time, and being on a charger in the car, would occasionally get flung to the floor if I had to brake suddenly (metro area, not my driving skills).

Anyway, the phone hit the floor, and I must have finished it off when I tried to wiggle the cable to get a connection.

1. Tried to contact someone via the Verizon website, who told me I needed to call the Customer Care Desk. Could they patch me over, as I had no phone? No, sorry, limited capacity as an online sales rep.

2. Went into store and explained the problem. The phone had no insurance. I'm a consultant, self-employed. Phone is my lifeline. No, sorry, no repairs possible. Can't replace it because not eligible for upgrade until end of January.

So I said.. "I have six months left on the contract, and you won't give me a phone to be able to access my account?". Check ebay or Craigslist, or ask your family or friends if you can use a phone until the "ability to buy period" comes around again.

I couldn't even buy a cheap phone in the store to get back online.

I'm now with AT&T. Will be contacting the FCC.

oh so its the providers fault you broke the phone. good one. buy a used one on ebay you cheap winer

Cause the FCC or BBB will do anything sorry your not that important and after you call in and tell us that we laugh at you we pull the call and our supervisors laugh harder at you...i will be contacting the FCC haha what a joke whats even funnier is when people try and upgrade a year and a half away from there contract ending and say they will be taking us to court! Ahaha i needed that laugh today sir thanks :)
