Cancelled service 3 times

It started back in September. Tired of paying high Verizon bills I switched to Republic Wireless. I called and stopped service and paid remaining balance. My contract had been up for some time. 1 month later I got a bill for $43. I called and paid and asked why I was getting billed. They said my phone was cancelled but due to some clerical error the service had not been cancelled. Do not worry they said, I would probably receive a check back sometime in the next month.
Forgot about for 2 months. Received a bill for $98. Called and asked why I am still receiving bills when I cancelled my service in September. Verizon said I never cancelled my service and when I paid the $43 dollars that reinstated service. They were very rude about it. They stated that I did not call becasue it was not in their notes. I hope it is cancelled.

I can believe that I cancelled an extra line I had back in novemb r received an email in January that my suspended line would resume billing.
