For 18 months we have attempted to have an old cell phone number disconnected & thus removed from our charges at Verizon. This includes speaking to customer service rep's and going in person to the Verizon store where they supposedly resolve this issue. Yet still we are paying for an old, extra cell phone we've not used in 18 months. And to the tune of almost THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS.
When I attempted to resolve this issue AGAIN today I gave the Rep. our Account number, our phone number we've had for FIFTY YEARS and now they claim there is no record of us being customers. I cussed them out in a stream of purple profanity and hung up. Can anyone help me?

That was probably some rep that could find your account but saw there would be problems and didn't want to have to work. Even if they couldn't locate your account they could pull it up by your account number or some other way. As much of a pain this may be, I would go back to the store and demand for a supervisor. Make sure to get their full name and document everything and get an order number. Then if they still don't take it off, file a formal complaint and go from there. I know that isn't much help but I don't know what else you can do. As much as a pain this has been, cursing out a rep isn't going to help you. Save that for their management. Good luck!
