I tried to cancel, Was offered great deal. Bill comes, THEY SAY OFFER NOT VALID.

I called a customer service rep on 1/7 to cancel my cable services. It was not 30 days yet so I knew I could cancel it without an ETF. BUT THEN... the rep offered me $20 off for 12 months, so I was like ok great deal and decided not to cancel. Flash forward today when I am looking over my bill to pay it and realize the 20 dollar discount is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. I contacted customer service and they just told me the offer was not valid. MY ISSUE IS WHY WAS I OFFERED THIS IF IT IS NOT VALID? IT WAS THE ONLY REASON I KEPT MY CABLE SERVICE I DO NOT EVEN WATCH TV. This is a major issue and verizons unfair practices need to be stopped.

Oh Yeah, I got a confirmation email too stating the discount! I even sent it to customer service and still they say its not valid.

If you received a confirmation email I would file an executive complaint with them. Contact them and demand a manager. They may try and tell you that there isn't one available so request a call back. If one does not call you, file a complaint with the PSC or tell them you want to file an executive complaint. Legally they have to honor that. If you didn't have that it would be your word against theirs but you have proof. Good luck.
