Billed for unreturned equipment that was returned, can't get refund!

On May 30, 2014, I cancelled our Verizon FIOS service. On June 12, their equipment was returned using the box and return label Verizon provided. The Post Office provided me with a receipt for the shipment, as proof of the return. My July bill showed a credit balance of $60.76 as the balance from the previous month, but the added a charge for unreturned equipment, taxes, and fees. That bill, and several thereafter indicated I owed $817, that I should not have been charged. Subsequent calls to their customer service and financial numbers said the charges would be removed, and three separate times I was told by their financial office that a check for my refund would be coming in 7-10 days. No such luck. In October, I contacted our local CBS TV stations consumer assistance, who got me in touch with a woman at Verizon Customer Relations. She did manage to reverse the charges, but somehow, the charges got reversed twice, and the bill I got in November 2014 said I had a credit balance of $938. Since then, I have been on the phone with their customer service line several times, trying to fix the problem and get my $60.76 refund. Customer service sends me to financial, financial says a check is coming, no check arrives, financial says customer service needs to fix the account balance, customer service sends me to financial, and on, and on. This is ridiculous. I can't even get the address of their legal department, so I can sue in small claims court. I hate Verizon, and will NEVER do business with them again!

Yeah...been there. Among the many horrors of dealing with Verisuck....I returned a cable card to Verisuck, only to continue seeing the $3.98 appear on my bills. I call again and again...yup, I am assured that the issue is fixed each time. After the 8th month of going through this crap I am told...get this..."You never returned the card to us"..Huh What???...I point out that I saved the USPS receipt and that previous reps had assured me they got the card back. After a year I finally get them to stop billing me for the damn card, but I now have to call every month trying to get them to refund the $3.98 I was billed for several times. Absolutely unbelievable , and I am POSITIVE it is on purpose...Verisuck is so big they don't give a rat's ass...I went back to Cox...and though their product isn't great, their customer service is..and my bill has been the same exact amount every single month. My Verisuck bill was never the same once NOT ONCE....
