just can't get what I wanted

A group of us share a suite of offices. I needed to get Verizon to get me as the subscriber for internet & fax when my colleague left. I call three weeks in advance. They can't just change the name. No we need a new fax number and we schedule them to come out to establish my new service. They don't show. I look to find out the date of my service beginning has been moved to a month later. So I call. To summarize: hours of phone time, total, being told service will be there in two days, then no it can't, then yes it can, then the service I wanted could not be provided at the price promised, then it can come and to wait for it on Sunday. But of course they do not come, but they say they will come later in the day, then that they will come the next day. The people I deal with generally seemed to be trying, and they were quite tolerant of my rage and exasperation. But the company is simply screwed up in which sales, scheduling, and options are out of synch with each other. I hate Verizon and will stop using them. I write from Malvern PA.
