Bogus Data Overage Charge

A few months ago, after 2 years of never even coming close to exceeding my data limit I am slapped with data overage charges. Leading up to that I was bombarded with Verizon text message offers to upgrade my data limit for free for a period of time, which I chose to ignore. Again for a second straight month it happens. I refused to upgrade my data plan and then MAGICALLY....the third month the data usage drops back down to where it usually was. I can't prove it but I have no doubt this is done intentionally to bully you into giving more of your hard earned money to Verizon. What a bunch of BS!

They just did this to me, except they DID slap us with an overage charge.

2 days before end of cycle, They sent the text saying we were about to go over, but looking at the data use in the Verizon app, we still had more than half a gig. Then day before the end of cycle they said we did go over, when both the app and the web site said we had only used 9.5 out of 10 gigs. Looking at the usage now in the bill, the usage of the 4 users the last two days didn't even add up to .2 gigs let alone .5 gigs on the last day of the cycle.

Either they are lying about our data use, or they have deliberately created an inaccurate app to trick customers into overuse.

Seriously sleazy. Even if I am able to get them to adjust the bill, I'm calling our state attorney general.
