Just "upgraded" but got screwed

It all started with "Last chance to get your employer discount at Verizon...there never was a notice about a "first chance". I called and they said I could get a free phone with upgrade. The store salesman said that I did not even have to do an extension for two years. My mistake was not scrolling up on the tablet that had the contract on it...big mistake. That is where the payment schedule is for the phone...27 dollars for 24 months !!!..So much for no extension, right ? Then I was told on the service call I made that I could cancel the phone and never pay anything at all. I said, "So I do not have to pay anytthing ? The phone is mine ?" They said, "Oh yes sir !!...It is your phone now." LIES !!!!...They meant that I did not have to pay for the phone LINE but did not say anything about the phone itself. THANK GOD for the 14 day window to return everything....for a 35 dollar restocking fee of course. I would pay another 35 dollars though, because it is going to be worth it to march in there and dump all this crap on the front desk and say take this crap back and get $^&@@^&* you a@#h#$S !!!!!....I cannot wait !!....Is there any place better ? I have been with Verizon since they existed back in the day....almost 20 years I think. Goes to show customer loyalty means nothing these days...nothing at all.

Pure ignorance. That 27/month you pay for your phone is off set by a discount you get every month on your bill for doing the financing program. You're the definition of ignorance.
