Bait and Switch

In December 2012, I got a text message from Verizon indicating that my total minutes were about to go over the limit (700 minutes) for that month. (Normally, we never got close to 700 minutes because the plan we had included Friends and Family.) I called Verizon and asked for advice. The CSR advised that I could change to the 1400 minute plan for the month of December for an exta $20, and he could set it up to automatically revert back to the 700 minute plan at the end of the December billing cycle. I agreed, and the changes were made. At the end of the billing cycle, my plan changed, but it did not change back to the same plan I had before, as promised by the Verizon CSR. After hours on the phone talking to 5 different people at Verizon, and after receiving 3 broken promises to have a superviser call me back, Verizon still refuses to honor the agreement. They say the only way to get the same terms and features I had before the switch is to agree to keep the plan I was sold for the month of December, fo an extra $25/mo...just to keep the service I had befor the change. Classic bait and switch. This is tantamount to fraud and should be stopped by the Atorney Generals of all states.

This sory is bogus. You can change plans anytime, no fees and no contract extension.
