never showed to connect service / won't take their modem back

In a rural area of Virginia. Tried to get high-speed internet here. Consistently received conflicting information from sales reps, customer service reps, and tech reps. Over 20 calls to 800-VERIZON, most routed every remove corner of the world. No one seemed to know what they were doing. Or care. After multiple no-shows by techs and over 8 hours on the phone with close to 15 different reps (not an exaggeration) I cancelled my order. Now I can't get them to tell where to return the modem they shipped me (over a week late). Customer service reps claim to have mailed me two return-shipping labels, which I've never received. Today a service rep said I could schedule a tech visit to have the modem picked up and transferred me to a tech that said that that was false. Have begged for them to just give me an address to send it to - I'm 200% willing to pay the shipping myself just to get Verizon out of my life - but after 1.25 hours on the phone involving 3 different transfers, on one has an answer yet. I've never seen such incompetence.
