Really special incompetence

Went into a Verizon store to deal with an ongoing screw up of theirs and was directed to a general manager. I spelled out the problem stating that the system has split a payment and this lead the second payment being bounced. Told her that the financial services people refused to believe that the check had bounced and that there was no issue I finally convinced them that it had and they put two credits on my account to cover bounced check fees then I went on to increase the size of my next payment to cover the amount due and the remainder of the bounced check and told them that it needed to be put toward the check not the next bill. Nobody told me that they will not do things that way they just took my money. After explaining everything she denied that I had attempted to pay the past due bill and so she showed me my bills and I showed her how the money had been credited toward the wrong bill and that I should not owe a past due balance and after explaining it all very carefully and working the math on the paper so that she could see it in case she was a visual learner and when I was all done she looked at me with a blank stare and simply responded that I was wrong. She had nothing more to show me to prove me wrong she just said You are wrong and that was the end of the story. It was simple grade school math and she could not figure it out. General Manager??? I think that their staff for the most part are simply conditioned to say what they can to get you out of there and if they can not say anything then they stone wall you. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

This is not incompetence. This is Verizon's business practice to rob, pillage, and loot.
